LUXURY OFF THE BEATEN PATH
The vast and vivid natural beauty of Tanzania enchants travellers, captivating them with its wild, untouched expanses, incredible diversity of wildlife and vibrant cultures.
The Friedkin family, dedicated conservationists and philanthropists, created the Friedkin Conservation Fund (FCF) to conserve millions of acres of Tanzania’s protected wildlife areas. They operate antipoaching operations, working closely with the Wildlife Division of Tanzania. The FCF also sponsors innovative community development projects and manages a Geographic Information System (GIS) for mapping and research to complement the anti-poaching initiative for a holistic approach to conservation.
CHEM CHEM PHILANTHROPY & SAFARIS
MORE THAN A SAFARI... A LIFESTYLE
The Burunge Wildlife Management Area is one of Tanzania’s flagship passages for wildlife. A corridor linking Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks, this spiritual part of the country is a well-kept safari secret.
Fabia Bausch and Nicolas Negre founded Chem Chem on an immense love and respect for the natural world as well as an understanding of the current challenges it faces. Born of a passion to protect not only the wilderness, but also the balance with the communities who call it home, Chem Chem Safaris continues the meaningful work of the Chem Chem Association. Together, they ensure an ever-stronger connection to the land is built, a passion shared with their guests, donors, community, family and friends.
